so, i've been busy.
busy with assignments, busy with presentations, busy with work (albeit only 2 nights a week), busy with balancing everything intricately.
and my house sprung a leak today, dripping from the lightbulb above my dining table. thanks.
the plumber who doesn't work on weekends and the electrician who on job at beaconsfield - about an hour away.
oh man.
exams in 2 weeks, assignment and presentation next week.
4000 word project proposal and half hour presentation during exam week doesn't help either.
many encourage to return to sunny isles for winter, but some sacrifices i have to make for epic journey post graduation.
scallion/garlic/coriander pancakes by j were yummy, especially doused with a generous sprinkle of chicken salt.
was hoping to walk around the house in undies today but gaz came over, foiled the grand plans.
oh yes, have to camp out in j's house for while for above reasons.
had nestum for breakfast, can't believe i spent so many years back home not remembering the taste of nestum
just had to go to melbourne, see it to fall in love with it again. yum. heart nestum with hot milk.
also vegemite, going to prove that people's taste change radically.
couldn't stand the taste in first year, now slap it on thick on hot buttered toast - yummy.

found website that had local (ie singapore/malaysia) recipes,
roti john, varying types of kueh, nestum cake (i so want to try, but my nestum is running out. must wait till j goes to melbourne again to get me another tin - which is in 2 weeks. awesome.), nasi goreng, fried macaroni etc. good variations.
quite impressive.
asked nyen and dahui to try pierre herme macarons for me while they're in paris.
i wonder if they did, heard its the best in the world - by no less the voted best french baker.
there's a french bakery here that does fab dark chocolate macarons but they only do it when the chefs are free.
which also means, not regularly.
damn.

i never thought i would be as mesmerised as i was watching a pair of hands playing the piano,
joe hisaishi is one of the most amazing composers.
so in love with his work, the piano and howls moving castle.
oh, and that pair of sexy hands.
once again, a renewed love and appreciation for the piano.

so p has been having domestics with the big man,
and despite the way he is treating her, she is still hanging on hoping that things can get better.
she knows that he's changed, she knows that he's a dickhead and she knows that she probably could do better. but still she hangs on.
she reckons you can't choose who you like, or love if you like it dramatic.
she will only end it if he does so she knows she's done everything and will not regret in future.
because she said she can't help it that she still likes him that much despite all he's done.
apart from this, she's a really grounded sensible girl.
i just don't really understand.
do we really not get to choose who we like or worse, fall in love with?
