i realise, reading by my window in the afternoon often invokes thoughts of home.
maybe it's in this quiet time of mine that i remember the people close to my heart.
i admit, when the going gets tough or incredibly busy, i don't even have time to think about myself - let alone others.
but when i do get some time to myself, i often catch myself thinking fondly of people, of places, of memories - especially when its aided by my screensaver of photos.
i get melancholic and nostalgic, i start missing.
i do miss, i do have attachments, i do feel.


i can't help but miss you.

10pm wednesday night, j bursts into my room and excitedly exclaims
"guess what? my assignment is not due tomorrow, it's due week 8! and now guess what i feel like doing right now?"
"watch a movie? (with me?)"
"no..."
"get high?"
"hey that's not a bad idea but no..."
"errr...."
"go out and get absolutely smashed! you wanna come???"
"eh..(3 sec later) ok! get out and gather more troops! i need to get ready!"
note: i usually have more self restrain, but hell i've been good AND i just did half of my 3000word essay so i thought i deserved a night out. oh how easy i succumb to temptation....but i loved it, one of the best nights i've had (here) in a while.

3)being able to call missy randomly for coffee (whilst home of course. pfft)

6)posting letters (then i can say "it's on its way!")
7)going out on dates
8)blowing bubbles
9)pancakes in the morning
10)going sailing - esp with good steady winds
11)finding clothes i want on discount
12)the amazing smells from the oven after slaving away mixing and beating
13)seeing the dog(s) run 'wild' in the park, happy as the wind
14)giving surprises to people
15)taking random photos of places
16)seeing a rainbow
17)going to the zoo
18)getting my drivers license!!
19)getting my grade 8 certificate
20)going on holiday
21)printing out assignments (that seems i'm done!)
